Some openBIS documentation at ETH does not work for Empa openBIS

What is different for Empa?

openBIS for Empa runs on ETH servers and is maintained by ETH. We profit from ETH support and their release updates, but due to this we have some restrictions and differencies to the ETH documentation:

• Login for Empa users and instance admins is different, view here.
• User registration for Empa employees is different, view here.
• Data upload for large data sets is different, view here.
• JupyterHub is already available in all Empa openBIS instances and you do not need to generally install it for your instance.
• Pybis logins with username and password currently only work for instance admins. Since the release 20.10.6, login using a personal access token works for all types of users, so we advice using this method to authenticate your user in scripts.
• Custom import is disabled because we currently do not have custom dropbox plugins on any instance.
